We’ve said goodbye to many legends in 2016, from Muhammad Ali and Prince to George Michael and Arnold Palmer but for Star Wars fans the year is ending on an especially low note. Carrie Fisher, best known for her role as Princess Leia in the movie franchise, passed away on Tuesday.
The daughter of pop singer Eddie Fisher and the actress Debbie Reynolds, Fisher went on to author several books after her Star Wars success and make appearances on shows such as Sex and the City and The Big Bang Theory as well as the film When Harry Met Sally.
Gone too soon at the age of 60. RIP Carrie Fisher. May the force be forever with you.
