Framed display features an original military commission appointment document, hand signed “Victoria R I, as Queen. The document appointments 2nd Lieutenant William Henry Kelsall to be an officer in the militia forces. Embossed blue paper seal affixed and in excellent condition. Framed beneath a giclée on canvas of an 1883 painting of the queen taken from an 1882 photograph by Alexander Bassano. Queen Victoria was the first monarch in world history to be photographed.
